As a Senior Linux Engineer, you will join our Global Linux Team, supporting and managing the majority of our Redhat Linux estate. This role requires expertise in Linux-based operating systems, particularly Redhat, as well as knowledge of Linux server and storage architecture within a financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical support for Unix Server Infrastructure, including server system administration, incident response, and remediation.
  • Carrying out requests and tasks according to ITIL standards.
  • Providing solutions and root cause analysis for system performance and failure-related issues.
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure smooth transitions of new servers, functionality, software tools, and initiatives into the production environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Expertise in Linux-based operating systems, particularly Redhat.
  • Knowledge of Linux server and storage architecture within a financial services environment.
  • 3-5 years of IT operations experience with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, theories, principles, and practices.
  • 10 years of Unix/Linux Server experience and general IT principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Virtualization concepts.
