Job Overview

The Software-Defined Networking (SDN) Engineer role is a pivotal position within our organization, focusing on the development and implementation of cutting-edge software-defined networking solutions. This exciting opportunity will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain complex SDN systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop innovative SDN solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Collaborate closely with network engineers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and deployment of SDN systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, API documentation, and release notes.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent skills and experience in the following areas:

Essential Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, C/C++, Rust, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of Linux networking fundamentals, including kernel-to-user space interactions.
  • Experience with open-source networking technologies, including eBPF, OVS, OVN, SoNIC, DENT, and Switchdev.
  • Familiarity with data path hardware acceleration protocols and interfaces, such as RDMA, RoCE, iWARP, NVMe, and SR-IOV.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, including x86, ARM, and RISC-V.
Preferred Skills:

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, including QEMU and KVM.
  • Previous contribution to open-source projects and community involvement.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Cloud-native Network Functions, and Container Network Interface plugins.
  • Performance engineering and security expertise.
