Purpose:Valkyrie Enterprises needs a Senior Computer Network Architect to provide network and IT design support at Scott AFB, IL, Job Description:Designs network infrastructure and provides IT support, security, and documentation.

Collaborates with management to determine networking needs. Plans and designs data communication networks.Presents network plans to management. Oversees network implementation, including scheduling and budgeting.

Manages information and network security. Duties and Responsibilities:Implements hardware/software upgrades. Performs maintenance and repairs.

Documents networks, including drawings and configurations. Researches emerging network technologies. Implements new server and network hardware/software solutions.

Ensures network systems function properly, including servers, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, cabling, wireless routers, etc. Tracks system end-of-life and plans replacements. Documents existing systems and plans for new system implementations.

Performs inventory of IT equipment and reports discrepancies. Provides guidance to IT technicians. Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years' experience in Network Architecture and Design.

Advanced understanding of networking protocols and procedures. Experience with tier 1 network hardware in production. Extensive experience with Microsoft OS, server applications like Exchange.

Hardware/software troubleshooting expertise. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and customer support experience.

Eligible for TS/SCI security clearance. IAT Level III Networking certification. Security Requirements:TS/SCI security clearance.

Travel Requirements:Occasional travel, less than 10%. Must obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials for travel or access to secure facilities. Physical Requirements:Prolonged sitting or standing.

Use of hands for handling and reaching.
