Financial Management Specialist

The primary responsibility of a Financial Management Specialist is to oversee and manage the financial records of an organization. This includes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • General Accounting: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, Rent Roll/property Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of company bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial insights to management to help with business decisions, cost control, and profitability.

Requirements for this role include:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MYOB - a must.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
