Job Title

We are seeking a motivated and driven professional to fill the role of Senior Associate, Clearing Operations. In this position, you will be responsible for undertaking daily operational processes aligned to our EquityClear, ForexClear, RepoClear, and SwapClear businesses.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in LCH Operations as a Senior Associate. As part of our team, you will be responsible for key daily operational processes related to ForexClear trade flow, including trade capture, matching, position management, and margining. You will also investigate and promptly resolve trade registration exceptions.

Responsibilities
  • Trade Capture and Management: Perform and lead all aspects of key daily operational processes related to ForexClear trade flow, including trade capture, matching, position management, and margining.
  • Trade Registration Exceptions: Investigate and promptly resolve trade registration exceptions.
  • Cash and Collateral Management: Monitor and reconcile transaction activity between internal systems and external platforms. Undertake margin call management across 19 different currencies.
  • Point of Contact: Act as a point of contact for internal customers and external clients regarding queries, exceptions, and issue resolution.
Collateral Operations
  • Margin Call Management: Undertake margin call management across 19 different currencies.
  • Cash Sweeping: Monitoring and sweeping of cash across internal accounts for funding and investment.
  • Securities Trades: Monitors and handles the instruction and settlement of bilateral and triparty securities trades.
Other Responsibilities
  • Default Management: Understand default management processes for clearing services and participate in annual fire drill exercises.
  • Teamwork: Work closely with operational teams in other locations to build knowledge and complete daily activities.
  • Independent Workload: Run own workload independently, whilst raising any issues or incidents with line management.

The ideal candidate should have experience working for either an investment bank in a collateral or cash management role, a clearing house or custodian. Some knowledge of OTC derivatives (interest rate swaps) (FX products) processes is beneficial, along with familiarity with currency cut offs and the payment messaging infrastructure (SWIFT). Prior experience participating in migrations is also desirable.
