Construction Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in reviewing plans, performing takeoffs, and creating detailed estimates of the scope of work for commercial construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in construction, engineering, business management/finance/accounting or similar fields. Experience and aptitude are equally valued. A strong understanding of construction components and the ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and renderings is essential.

Gathering and organizing project information, exploring details to ensure constructability, performing quantity takeoffs using software like On Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam, and estimating material, labor, and equipment costs using Microsoft Excel are key responsibilities.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Commercial construction experience across multiple trades is preferred.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based clients is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with electronic takeoff software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and Planswift.
  • Data analysis skills and ability to create and input data into spreadsheets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
