Job Role:

A Construction Project Estimator is responsible for determining the cost of prospect projects, collaborating with contractors, vendors, and team members to assess potential risks and delays.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing and estimating costs on prospective projects
  • Maintaining project status and reproducing plans
  • Researching material, transportation, labor, and equipment costs
  • Ensuring high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Breaking down landscape and civil drawings, specifications, and other related documents
  • Assisting with billing queries, providing documentation for discrepancies/deficiencies
  • Collaborating with vendors and resolving issues

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in using estimating software
  • Familiarity with financial and project management principles
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of construction documents and blueprints
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate tasks
