Job Profile:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our efforts in establishing, developing and promoting sustainable, innovative technology-based platforms that contribute to the country's economic growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and implementing an incubation strategy and operational plan in line with our organization's goals.

Duties include direct and guiding development of provincial and sectoral needs assessments and business cases for establishment and expansion of incubation networks.

Additionally, the Senior Manager will oversee the development and implementation of interventions and support services to optimize and enhance delivery capacity of technology business centers.

Fostering networking and effective linkages with various stakeholders in the small enterprise support arena is also a key responsibility.

Performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting on incubation and technology business centers is essential.

The ideal candidate must assure embedding of risks, compliance and quality improvement in all incubation business processes and systems.

Management of business unit resources including finance, assets and people is also expected.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year's work experience in incubation, enterprise development and technology transfer with at least 5 years' experience in a managerial role.
  • Direct experience in SMME programs and/or related development is necessary.
  • An end-to-end understanding of business processes to enable all SMME programs is required.
  • Knowledge of government Small Enterprise Support Strategy and Programs is essential.
  • A successful track record in implementing business strategies and related policies is needed.
  • Understanding of operations, finance and support functions is crucial.
  • Experience in managing transformation and change processes is also important.
  • Knowledge and experience of stakeholder management and partnerships is vital.
