Senior Tax Accounting Position

This role offers the opportunity to work in a senior tax accounting capacity, preparing and reviewing individual, company, trust, and SMSF tax returns in compliance with ATO regulations.

You will manage complex multi-entity structures, including intercompany transactions, group consolidations, and tax planning. Additionally, you will prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, FBT, and payroll tax returns.

To ensure accuracy and compliance, you will perform detailed reconciliation and documentation. You will also liaise directly with clients and internal teams to clarify tax positions and resolve issues.

Staying current with ATO updates and legislative changes is crucial for this role. You will utilize cloud-based accounting and tax software, including Xero, MYOB, BGL, Class Super, and HandiTax.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Australian tax accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing tax returns for complex, multi-entity structures.
  • Advanced proficiency in Xero, MYOB, BGL, Class Super, and other relevant platforms.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Reliable home office setup with stable internet and a quiet working environment.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and deadline-driven.
