We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Australian taxation and be able to hit the ground running in a client-facing environment.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality results and providing exceptional service to clients. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and efficient tax returns, including company and trust tax returns, Fringe Benefits Tax calculations, Capital Gains Tax event management, and Division 7A loan compliance and structuring
  • Mentor and collaborate with our offshore bookkeeping team to ensure consistency and quality across our operations
  • Provide support in business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Proficient in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and compliance deadlines
  • Xero and XPM proficiency required
  • Background FYIDocs advantageous
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail
  • An excellent communicator who can train and guide junior or offshore staff
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Motivated to grow with the business and open to taking on more responsibility
