Job Title: Data Governance Leader

The organization seeks a seasoned professional to lead its data governance initiative. This role is accountable for defining standards that govern data collection, storage, processing, use, retention, and disposal.

This position drives action within the enterprise to ensure data availability, usability, consistency, and security. Responsibilities include establishing proper data collection procedures, policies, guidelines, and data quality controls.

Data profiling and establishing data lineages are also key responsibilities of this role. The successful candidate will provide internal customers with feedback and recommendations for improvements in data management.

This role requires a strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and analytics principles. The ideal candidate will have experience working with data management teams, solid QA/Testing/Development experience, and Advanced SQL knowledge.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing data collection procedures, policies, guidelines, and data quality controls.
  • Defining, tracking, and managing data quality KPIs across the enterprise.
  • Conducting data profiling and establishing data lineages to provide internal customers with feedback and recommendations for improvements in data management.
  • Designing processes and leading initiatives to improve efficiency and increase coverage of data quality.
  • Ensuring effective data management throughout the enterprise and detecting effects of poor data quality.

Requirements include:

  • 8+ years of experience working with data management teams.
  • 8+ years of solid QA/Testing/Development experience.
  • 5+ years of Advanced SQL experience.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and analytics principles.
  • Experience leading initiatives to improve data quality and efficiency across the enterprise.
