Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Support Specialist to provide technical support for Non-KONE Equipment (NKE) within the KSEA region. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of elevators and escalators, as well as experience in maintenance troubleshooting, drive commissioning, and parameter programming.


Responsibilities
  • Provide remote or on-site technical support for NKE maintenance troubleshooting, drive commissioning, and parameter programming.
  • Support site surveys for new portfolio acquisitions, including circuit diagrams, tools, critical equipment checks, spare part availability, and other learning for correct estimation of maintenance costs.
  • Jointly set up, manage, and improve standards and procedures with the THD team in the aspect of NKE.
  • Coordinate competence development in field organization related to new technologies.
  • Integrate and convert site activities from NKE to KONE Controllers in Modernization Business.
  • Prioritize experience in commissioning other lift makes, including complete testing and commissioning of lifts and people flow solutions.

Training and Development
  • Train local technicians during site visits and/or deliver scheduled training sessions for NKE topics.
  • Cooperate with and provide expertise to local training centers in training courses.
  • Conduct expert assessments for KONE employees who joined from other lift makers.
  • Provide input to Learning and Development about competencies development needs in the field team.

Quality Management
  • Create quality reports into the THD tool after remote support and/or site visits, listing issues requiring corrective actions.
  • Identify root causes for issues and forward corrective actions according to KONE process requirements.
  • Review CORs and identify units for clinic visits.

Safety Protocols
  • Operate within KONE safety requirements.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of technical experience from elevator and escalator industries.
  • Proven spares project implementation and change management experience (minimum 3 years).
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  • Fluent in English; other languages an asset.
  • IT literacy.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Technical understanding of elevators/escalators/doors spare parts where applicable for non-KONE products.
