Security Operations Lead

This role oversees the Security Operations team responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving security practices, techniques, tools, systems, and policies.

The team owns the strategy and practices that determine how data is secured, internal infrastructure, and build processes are protected. The SecOps team manager collaborates with organisational learning teams to develop playbooks and facilitate training across various departments.

  • Hire and mentor technical security professionals.
  • Define security standards and playbooks.
  • Own and drive architecture and design of the SOC.
  • Analyse and improve security architecture.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new security tools and practices.
  • Identify, contain, and guide remediation of security threats and cyber attacks.
  • Grow presence and thought leadership in security operations practice.
  • Contribute to open source threat intelligence initiatives.
  • Drive threat modelling, table top exercises, and other security practices across departments.
  • Develop learning and development materials.
  • Publish blog posts, whitepapers, and conference presentations.
  • Identify, implement, and track security KPIs.
  • Plan and deliver work in the framework of agile engineering practice.
