Job Overview

The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of laboratory operations, ensuring high-quality results and optimal resource utilization. This role involves strategic planning, collaboration with stakeholders, and staff development to drive business growth and excellence.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Laboratory Operations Manager in developing strategies for capacity building, quality improvement, and efficiency enhancement.2. Oversee the selection, hiring, and professional development of laboratory personnel, including disciplinary actions when necessary.3. Ensure that all laboratory personnel undergo and pass proficiency testing to maintain the highest standards of work quality.4. Effectively manage laboratory resources, monitoring equipment efficiency and analyst effectiveness to optimize productivity.

Key Requirements:
1. Minimum 8 years of technical experience or 5 years of supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.2. Strong core skills (integrity, work standard, customer service orientation, communication), professional/technical knowledge, functional skills (organization, analysis/problem assessment, attention to details/quality orientation, judgment/problem-solving), leadership, and management skills.

Additional Information:
1. Recommends methods for development, test costing, and technical capability/capacity building.2. Has recommendatory authority on matters related to staff assignments to execute lab functions effectively.
