Credit Management Head Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Credit Management professional to lead our credit risk strategy, policy development and underwriting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Policy & Risk Frameworks:

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve credit policies, risk assessment frameworks and underwriting standards to ensure sound portfolio performance.

Credit Modeling & Analytics:

  • Lead the design, review and iteration of credit models, including alternative behavioral scoring and mobile payments integration.

Underwriting Oversight:

  • Oversee the credit underwriting process, ensuring adherence to established policies and achieving optimal turnaround times without compromising risk quality.

Portfolio Review & Risk Management:

  • Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for policy adjustments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product, data and analytics teams to develop innovative credit decision tools and leverage alternative data sources.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor and analyze credit performance metrics to ensure portfolio health and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using advanced data analytics and market insights.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, mentor and lead a high-performing credit management team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in credit risk management, underwriting and policy development in consumer lending, preferably in fintech or digital banking.

  • Strong understanding of credit scoring models, behavioral scoring and mobile payment data usage.

  • Proven expertise in data analytics and translating insights into actionable strategies.

  • Experience with alternative data-driven credit models is highly preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in established consumer lending institutions (large banks or top fintech companies).

  • Exposure to digital payments ecosystems and alternative credit evaluation methods.
