
Store Operations Leader

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and leading the store team to achieve business goals. This role serves as the second in charge of operations to the Store Manager and plays a crucial part in driving sales, profit, and customer loyalty.
This position requires strong leadership and direction skills to ensure the smooth operation of the store. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for performing operational activities throughout the store, including opening and closing procedures, transporting and making deposits, and resolving customer complaints.
- Deliver a Legendary Customer Experience by providing excellent customer service and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience.
- Provide leadership and direction to the store team, including Team Member training and counseling, hiring and staffing decisions, scheduling, and maintaining a productive work environment.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including operating cash registers and computers.
- Transport and make deposits to the bank, and resolve customer complaints and issues.
Additional responsibilities may include leading freight movement, supporting merchandising initiatives, feed management, and inventory control. This role also requires the ability to operate all equipment related to job duties efficiently, safely, properly, and accurately.
The Assistant Store Manager must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, customers, and vendors. They must also be able to maintain a safe and productive work environment, adhere to company safety training and guidelines, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Required Skills and QualificationsExperience: Previous retail leadership experience is required. Farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license.
Education: High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred. Regardless of education level, you must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
