Overview

Our organization is focused on developing cutting-edge mobile and web applications. We are currently seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

This role involves designing, developing, and executing comprehensive manual test cases and test plans to ensure the highest level of software quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality. They will also participate in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test plans.
  • Review and understand software requirements, specifications, and technical design documents.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using a defect tracking system.
  • Perform thorough regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not compromised by new changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability and quality.
  • Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Document and communicate test results, status reports, and defect metrics to the QA Manager and development team.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA testers.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
