Job Title: Utility Team Lead

About the Role:

As a Utility Team Lead, you will manage and mentor a team of Utility Engineers to ensure high-quality inspections, data accuracy, and process improvements within the electric utility sector.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing a team of Utility Engineers to ensure high-quality inspections and data accuracy.
  • Oversight of utility asset cataloging and identification of equipment issues or hazards.
  • Ensuring quality control of work packages and compliance with project standards.
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and training to junior engineers.
  • Collaboration with utility companies to meet project goals and deliverables.
  • Aligning data accuracy with industry standards through close work with internal teams.
  • Staying updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Participating in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skill development.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the electric utility field (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills with good written and oral communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and national engineering standards (nice-to-have).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work remotely and coordinate effectively with a distributed workforce.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies within the utility sector.
