Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the finance team with accounting tasks.

  • Assist with bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare check payments for suppliers and medical providers while ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process payments for accounts payable.
  • Assist departments in account reconciliation processes.
  • Extract detail payment reports (DPR) and validate transactions to identify any discrepancies.
  • Escalate validation findings to involved departments and monitor resolution.
  • Perform check assignments and prepare check vouchers for approval.
  • Generate payment information sheets (PIS), form 2307 if applicable, and CVs to support payments.
  • Prepare check transmittals for checks routed for signature.
  • Ensure that medical claims from providers are attached to payment documents for signature/approval.
  • Carry out ad hoc assignments as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Graduate of accountancy or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
