Financial Operations Role

This position involves providing operational support in the financial process, which includes analysing financial reports to compare against planned figures and provide insightful reporting.

The primary goal of this role is to provide valuable insights to support decision-making, contributing to process improvement, and monitoring divisional performance against budgets and forecasts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing monthly management reports and month-end accruals.
  • Investigating and analysing variances of actual vs budget and providing commentary.
  • Performing deep dive analysis of costs.
  • Collaborating with finance teams for cost investigations.
  • Facilitating intercompany recharges through analysis and reconciliations.
  • Drafting memos for auditors.
Requirements

Necessary qualifications include a tertiary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Work Environment

Travel frequency is infrequent (approximately 1-4 trips annually).

Physical Demands

General office jobs require working in an office environment with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. The ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods is required.
