Job Overview

As a Senior Engineering Director, you will spearhead transformative developments in software development processes. You will leverage your expertise to drive innovation and excellence through strategic engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
  • Set overall goals and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
  • Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
  • Create an inclusive culture prioritizing diverse representation.
  • Work at the code level and manage technologists.
  • Utilize automation and continuous delivery methods.
  • Apply advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Requirements
  • Formal training or certification on DevOps concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Proficiently manage all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Development expertise, with specific focus on Java technology (Core & EE) with Spring Frameworks (Spring Core & Spring Boot) as well as Python development experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
  • Deep understanding of relational DB (Sybase & Oracle) and Stored Procedures.
  • Strong knowledge and application of SCM & Build tools (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Subversion, SONAR); DevOps knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
  • Experience with microservices, integration patterns, and messaging technologies (e.g., JMS, MQ Series, Kafka).
  • Experience with job scheduling technologies like Autosys and Control-M and testing tools like Mockito or JMeter.
