Senior / Lead Power Systems Engineers – ECG Engineering Manila role at ECG Engineering Pty Ltd. ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive capabilities in Australia and globally. ECG have offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Manila, Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania) and Cape Town, enabling design and delivery on complex projects from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on senior personnel with 30+ years of experience.

We require a Senior & Lead level Power Systems Engineers to join our Manila based design team, contributing and coordinating design on a range of mineral processing related Electrical Projects and Studies, from detail design and technical reports to client deliverables and full studies on remote mining plant power systems with a strong focus on renewable energy.

Applicants should have strong skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Analysis and design of HV power systems including design of powerlines and substations
  • Specialized network analysis and performance standard studies experience
  • Solid electrical engineering experience that includes knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and controls applications
  • Experience working on both greenfields and brownfields projects
  • Degree level electrical engineering qualifications, with specialized power engineering qualifications well regarded
  • An ability to self-manage while working in a variety of team / project delivery scenarios
  • The ability to travel with project requirements
Responsibilities
  • Undertake power system analysis for clients
  • Design power systems for the mining and power generation industries
  • Preparation and evaluation of tenders
  • Use power systems modelling packages such as DigSilent (PowerFactory) and ETAP

From planning, designing, executing and commissioning grid hookups and power systems, to providing our mining and energy clients with high level analysis, troubleshooting and reports, ECG Engineering's Power Systems group offers a technically challenging, diverse and fulfilling career across all aspects of power and renewables.

The roles are Manila based, with growing power systems team, and may involve occasional input on studies and reports for our Toronto and African offices, as well as coordination with our Perth engineering office.

To be considered for the ECG Power Systems Group, you need solid power systems experience on complex high value resource & energy projects, with an understanding of the differences between Australian based projects and offshore remote mining plant construction and operations (e.g., Africa).
