Remote Accounting Specialist

The role of a Remote Accounting Specialist entails managing billing and collections with precision and professionalism. This position plays a vital part in ensuring timely payments, accurate records, and clear communication with vendors and customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Enter information received from prospective clients and process credit applications through relevant agencies.
  • Request and process prepayments on sales orders.
  • Follow up on delinquent accounts for customers with outstanding balances or new orders.
  • Apply check or credit card prepayments to the appropriate accounts.
  • Verify and resolve account discrepancies by obtaining and reviewing information from customer care and customers.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an office or accounting role with a focus on accounts payable and/or accounts receivable.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Able to work flexible hours including overnight shifts.
Preferred Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
