Job Overview

This is a Senior Staff Accountant position focusing on assurance services. We are seeking an experienced professional to collaborate with our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with audit, tax, and other engagement teams.
  • Prepare assurance files (audits and reviews) for review by partners.
  • Assist senior accounting teams with overflow of compilations, HST, T1s, and T2s.
  • Conduct technical research, develop advisory recommendations, and document results.
  • Apply knowledge of accounting and audit standards.
  • Manage multiple client relationships and understand their unique business requirements.
  • Perform full-cycle accounting functions.
Requirements
  • Candidates must hold a CPA/CA designation or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three to five years of experience in public accounting are required.
  • Minimum two years of experience working on assurance files, particularly completing small business assurance files from planning, preparation, and completion, including the tax return.
  • Minimum two years of experience with Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) within Ontario and Canada, or minimum of three years of experience completing compilations without ASPE experience.
