About the Role

The Central Ordering Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the central ordering processes within our Fit-Out Services department. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and timely procurement of materials and services required for various projects.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure that all ordering activities are executed effectively and align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

A key aspect of this position is fostering a strong customer service ethos within the central ordering team. The Central Ordering Manager will not only demonstrate excellence in customer service personally but will also coach and mentor team members to consistently deliver a customer-focused experience.

By instilling a culture of responsiveness, professionalism, and proactive problem-solving, the manager will ensure that both internal and external clients receive exceptional service at every stage of the ordering process.

  • Order Management: Lead the central ordering team in the purchasing of materials and services. Ensure that all orders are placed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Supplier Management: Track performance and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels to ensure that materials are available when needed without overstocking.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve ordering processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with centre delivery managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure that all ordering activities support project goals.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on ordering activities, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all ordering activities comply with industry regulations and legal requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing a team. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
