Role Overview

The Patient Services Representative plays a crucial role in addressing patient queries and concerns, understanding their needs by listening and interviewing, and coordinating information among patients, family members, medical personnel, and administrative staff. Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to incoming calls according to established protocols and standards.
  • Assist patients in resolving their queries and concerns.
  • Collect outstanding patient balances.
  • Communicate with third-party entities regarding patients' accounts.
  • Place outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
  • Provide assistance to patients with billing-related queries and concerns.
  • Ensure data confidentiality by safeguarding protected health information.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve department and company objectives.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctual return from breaks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Preferrably a college graduate or at least two years of college education, with degrees and courses related to the medical field being advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information.
  • Basic mathematical calculations and attention to detail.
