Virtual Medication Specialist

The Virtual Medication Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of medications packed into dose-ready sachets using AI-driven tools.

This position involves cross-checking AI-identified medications against prescriptions to verify correct dosage and format. It requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to resolve any discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify medication accuracy using AI-driven tools.
  • Cross-check medications against prescriptions for correct dosage and format.
  • Flag missing or duplicate tablets, or debris to be removed.
  • Highlight patients with missing data for redone submissions (black screens).
  • Provide feedback on AI performance to improve accuracy and reliability.
Claims Review & Submission:
  • Review insurance/government claims prior to submission for accuracy and compliance.
  • Verify patient eligibility for financial assistance programs and document submitted support.
  • Check paperwork completeness and resolve documentation discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with billing teams to streamline claims submission processes.
Data Integration & Onboarding:
  • Migrate external system data into dispensing systems during hospital/nursing home onboarding.
  • Validate and reconcile data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with onboarding teams for seamless integration, including VOIP phone communication.
Order Processing & Customer Queries:
  • Process monthly orders by reviewing orders and entering them into dispensing systems.
  • Handle first-line customer queries from nursing homes and hospitals regarding order receipt and delivery times.
Qualifications:
  • Active pharmacist license (state or national).
  • 2+ years in pharmacy operations, claims management, or clinical pharmacy.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims, financial aid programs, and medication therapy management.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology, medication identification, and healthcare compliance.
  • Proficiency with technology, including AI tools and claims management systems.
Preferred Skills:
  • Medication packaging experience (sachets or blister packs).
  • Ai applications knowledge in healthcare or pharmacy operations.
  • Background in patient financial assistance programs or insurance processes.
