Job Overview

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for providing expert financial services to clients. This role involves working closely with clients to support their businesses and managing various tasks.

  • Processing up to Trial Balance stage and preparing financial statements for lodgement with the relevant tax authorities.
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Installment Activity Statements for lodgement with the relevant tax authorities.
  • Maintaining general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
  • Preparing private tax returns, trust, partnership tax returns, and End of year compliance jobs.
  • Experienced in handling Division 7a loans.
  • Completing required tax reporting in a timely manner.
  • Preparing and updating tax provision schedules.
  • Researching and correcting process errors that caused incorrect tax filings and negotiating with tax authorities over tax payment issues.
  • Able to mentor and review work for existing team members.
About You
  • We are looking for an exceptional individual who is passionate about accounting and tax.
  • Must have a strong educational background in Accountancy or Accounting Technology, preferably with CPA licensure.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting and tax, with at least 4+ years of experience in AU tax accounting.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and willingness to lead the team in the future.
  • Advantage if having experience in an accounting/audit firm.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Attentive to details and organized.
  • Good time management skills.
