Job Title: Data Protection and Privacy Expert

About the Role

This position plays a vital part in ensuring our organization adheres to data protection and privacy regulations worldwide. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments globally, providing expertise in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of global data protection laws.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Stay current on global data protection laws and regulations that apply to our organization, providing guidance on compliance.
  2. Conduct annual reviews of data processing activities, performing risk assessments and impact analyses.
  3. Respond to inquiries regarding data protection and provide consultation or escalate as needed.
  4. Evaluate third-party vendors to assess their adherence to data protection standards.
  5. Liaise with business lines to identify potential risks and determine necessary controls.
  6. Develop and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines, assisting other teams as required.
  7. Assist in reviewing changes to relevant laws and regulations, interpreting their impact on our organization.
  8. Support training programs and ongoing awareness initiatives to ensure data protection best practices are adopted across the organization.
  9. Assist in addressing data subject access requests and monitoring policies to prevent data breaches.
  10. Participate in investigating data breaches and reporting incident metrics annually.
  11. Support daily program elements as needed, aligning risk management processes into day-to-day responsibilities to mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
