Financial Planning and Analysis Role

The Junior Financial Analyst provides key support in the development of annual and mid-year budgets, as well as long-term forecasts.

Key responsibilities include supporting profit and loss forecasting, reviewing financial budget and forecast revisions to focus on cost reduction, and preparing monthly actual review reports for senior management.

This role requires strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures and prepare variance analysis reports.

  • A high proficiency in Excel with knowledge of pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc.
  • An in-depth understanding of US accounting principles and standards
  • Previous working experience as an offshore staff is highly advantageous

Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of collaborating with senior leadership and providing actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supports the development of annual and mid-year budgets and long-term forecasts
  2. Reviews financial budget and forecast revisions focusing on cost reduction
  3. Prepares monthly actual review reports for senior management
  4. Conducts variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures
  5. Provides actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent
  • Client facing experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
