Legal Document Specialist

This role is ideal for individuals who excel in document preparation and legal concepts. As a Legal Document Specialist, you will play a crucial part in the conveyancing process by generating contract drafts and maintaining company records.

Your primary goal will be to deliver high-quality documentation while ensuring compliance with standard procedures. You will work closely with the team to communicate effectively and address any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data entry and drafting contracts according to our procedure
  • Identifying and ordering searches required for clients' properties based on location and type
  • Building rapport and trust with clients throughout all stages of communication
  • Gathering personal and confidential information from Australian clients and encoding it appropriately in our system
  • Updating relevant parties within the internal team on the progress of contract drafts
  • Creating and updating records with new files and information
  • Hitting goals and completing tasks daily to meet performance requirements
  • Providing accurate service fees and charges to clients and creating invoices for disbursements
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures
Requirements:
  • A completed Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with legal concepts, definitions, and documentation preferred
  • Direct customer contact experience with written and phone-based communication, particularly with Aust/NZ/US or UK customers
  • Ability to anticipate needs of team members and clients, and take initiative to meet those needs
  • Strong written and verbal skills for regular communications to various stakeholders
  • Critical thinking skills and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Efficient – able to handle multiple demands while remaining flexible and adaptable to change
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Perseverance and commitment
  • Ability to work alone as well as part of a high-performing team
  • Commercial awareness and desire to stay up-to-date with developments
  • Integrity, ethical behavior regarding client confidences and information, company confidentiality, and overall team interactions
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 applications
Working Arrangements:

This role works mostly from home and requires a conducive environment with reliable internet access.
