Product and Insurance Risk Management Director

Seeking a seasoned professional to lead Product and Insurance Risk Management team in overseeing product-related risks. Develop and maintain global pricing, underwriting and claims standards, coordinating the annual new business plan process, and assessing product and underwriting initiatives.

  • Standards & Policies:
    • Develop and oversee Corporate Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims standards, ensuring compliance through review of Product, Pricing, Underwriting, and Claims Self-Assessment Questionnaires.
  • Management Reporting & Oversight:
    • Coordinate the Annual New Business Plan exercise, including developing plan guidance, reviewing submissions, and summarizing results for senior management.
    • Oversee quarterly reporting of new business results, KPIs, and geographic concentration of risk.
    • Prepare agendas and materials for the Product Oversight Committee forum and the Underwriting & Claims Risk Committee forum.
  • Actuarial Research:
    • Support research on mortality trends, critical illness rates, and other data sources to inform company risk appetite and standards.
    • Perform Pricing model runs to test proposal sensitivity and impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fellowship with an international Actuarial professional body with 12+ years of experience.
  • Mastery of technical aspects of Pricing and Product Development processes, with familiarity in underwriting or claims functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to develop small to medium-sized teams.
  • Proficiency in Moody's Axis, Risk Integrity, and IFRS17 reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration and influence.
  • Relationship building skills for effective communication across stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priorities and scope.
