Job Title: Director, Safety and Compliance

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our organization's safety and compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in occupational health and safety sciences.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective safety programs to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and incident reports.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for employees on safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with facility management to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Evaluate and recommend the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety-related materials.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Key Performance Indicators:
  • Reduce workplace accidents and injuries by 20% within the first six months.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement a behavior-based safety program to promote a culture of safety awareness.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, and at least five years of experience in safety and compliance management.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with safety software and technology.
  • Certifications in safety and compliance, such as OHST or CHMM.
