Database Solutions Expert

Job Description:

The Database Solutions Expert will work on transforming programs that modernize operations and drive innovation across our entire IT estate using the latest technologies in cloud, applications, security, outsourcing, and modern workplace.

Responsibilities include:

  • Database Administration, including all HA and DR technologies
  • Install and configuration of database engine, ETL tools, data warehousing & reporting.
  • Performance tuning & investigation.
  • Upgrades, downgrades, and migrations (In-place / Side-by-Side upgradation)
  • Patching.
  • Logshipping, Mirroring Replication and Always On.
  • Azure Database Administration with On Prem, Azure Pass, Azure managed Instances, AWS EC2, AWS RDS instances.
  • Database migration from on prem to cloud based assets like Azure Pass, AWS EC2, AWS RDS instances
  • Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of database administration.
  • Have a good working experience in Core DBA Architecture, Backups/Recovery and Performance tuning exercise.
  • Experience in Coordinating and working with Clients to understand business requirements and design the architecture, accordingly, resolve issues if any.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a database administrator, with implementations, upgrades, migrations, conversions, and consolidation projects with Microsoft databases.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Database ranging from SQL 2005 to SQL 2022 on Windows platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving and performance tuning skills.
  • Strong command administering database security, data recovery, performance monitoring and tuning on both On Prem and Cloud platforms.
  • Design & build specific database environments to meet business requirements.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements.
  • Must have experience with database Always On / HADR.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
  • Consulting experience in providing support and implementation services with the ability to build lasting positive client relationships, takes ownership in maintaining quality of service and recommending areas of improvement.
