Job Title: Database Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality database systems that meet the needs of our end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop database systems that are highly available and of exceptional quality.

  • Implement data distribution strategies to ensure timely and accurate delivery of data to users.

  • Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and maintain up-to-date backup data to minimize downtime.

  • Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.

  • Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Regularly perform tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.

  • Monitor database performance and implement changes as required.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator.

  • Proficiency in data manipulation languages, including Oracle Database, Hadoop, MS SQL, or PostgreSQL.

  • An analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly organized and responsible.

  • Able to work under pressure.

  • Up-to-date with trends and developments in database administration.
