Senior Information Specialist

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the organization's knowledge management infrastructure, utilizing best practices and methodologies to deliver high-quality IT solutions. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical acumen, strong communication skills, and experience with knowledge management platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge Strategy and Governance:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive knowledge strategy that aligns with organizational objectives and industry standards.
    • Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure consistency, quality, and accessibility of knowledge assets.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and develop targeted solutions.
  • Content Creation and Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee the entire knowledge lifecycle, from acquisition and creation to storage, organization, distribution, and utilization.
    • Evaluate and refine content for accuracy, relevance, and clarity, ensuring it meets diverse audience needs.
    • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and excellence in knowledge management practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
    • Foster strong relationships with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to drive knowledge sharing and adoption.
    • Provide training and support to enhance subject matter expertise and promote a proactive knowledge-sharing environment.
    • Analyze data and metrics to inform strategic decisions, optimize processes, and measure performance.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in IT Service Management, preferably in a Knowledge Management leadership role.
  • At least 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or similar frontline IT operational role, demonstrating a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and daily operational challenges.
  • Proven experience in implementing and administering Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodology within an ITSM framework.
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, editing, and content quality assurance.

Desirable Skills:

  • Technical Acumen: In-depth knowledge of operating systems, hardware, networking, and IT security concepts.
  • Linguistic Proficiency: Exceptional command of the English language, including advanced grammar, syntax, punctuation, and style.
  • Process & Methodologies: Expert-level understanding and practical application of ITIL v4 and KCS v6 principles and practices.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build strong relationships with technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Technical Communications, or a related field.
