About the Role

We are building a finance function that can support growth and provide accurate timely information to decision-makers.

This role is responsible for leading month-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

  • Lead month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Pull and analyze reports from Xero building and maintaining Excel-based financial models including three-way forecasting.
  • Support the budgeting forecasting and cost control cycle.
  • Manage intercompany journals transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
  • Consolidate reporting across New Zealand Australia and Canada.
  • Reconcile subscription revenue using Stripe data ensuring accuracy in recurring revenue streams.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights that help shape business decisions.
  • Act as a trusted partner to leadership delivering confidence and clarity around numbers.
  • Prepare SaaS Metrics reporting.
  • Constant identification and implementation of process improvement in our Finance processes.
  • Tax filings and compliance – Income tax transfer pricing GST FBT.
  • Prepare monthly Management Reporting and oversee Year End Financial Statement compilation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • CA or CPA qualified with Australia or New Zealand experience.
  • Minimum 3-4 years accounting and financial analysis experience.
  • Experience leading month-end close processes – end to end and intercompany accounting and reporting.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Exposure to SaaS or subscription revenue models.
  • Experience with Stripe.

Skills Required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High-level proficiency in Excel including financial and three-way modeling.
  • Experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and deliver reliably.
