We are looking for a senior finance professional to oversee a portfolio of SME clients in Australia, leading a team of accountants and delivering accounting and tax services. The role involves liaising with the ATO on behalf of clients, preparing and submitting BAS and tax returns, providing supervision and control for remote bookkeeping clients, advising on accounting and taxation matters, and hiring, training and growing a team of accountants.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality accounting and tax services to a portfolio of Australian startup and SME clients.
  • Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and tax returns.
  • Provide supervision and control for remote bookkeeping clients.
  • Advise and engage with clients on various accounting and taxation matters.
  • Hire, train, nurture and grow a team of experienced accountants.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team of accountants servicing Australian clients.
  • Proven experience in team management, including hiring, training and nurturing a team of ambitious accountants.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
