Accounting Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional to join our team. As an Intermediate Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing engagement work from planning through completion with minimal supervision.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Take full ownership of assigned files and manage engagement work independently
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business models and providing timely communication
  • Participate in planning meetings and contribute to engagement strategy with input from senior team members
  • Review prior year files, draft client questions, and manage document collection to ensure smooth file progression
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in Canadian public accounting
  • CPA designation in progress or newly earned
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and cloud storage
  • Familiarity with ASPE and Canadian tax standards
  • Knowledge of compliance areas including GST/HST, payroll, EHT, WSIB, and CRA programs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
