Job Summary:

  • Maintain precise financial records, process transactions in a timely manner, and provide accounting support for an e-commerce business.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Record daily financial transactions with accuracy and timeliness in compliance with Australian standards and taxation regulations.
  2. Store and organize data for auditing purposes.
  3. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations and aging monitoring.
  4. Process and code vendor invoices and customer payments promptly.
  5. Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
  6. Conduct bank, credit card, supplier, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
  7. Collaborate in preparing schedules and documentation for external audits.
  8. Support the preparation of financial reports as requested by management.
  9. Prepare payroll for Australian employees and coordinate invoicing for remote contractors.
Required Skills And Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Experience in complex reconciliation processes and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and inventory management systems is a plus.
