Job Title: Mental Health Support Specialist

The role of a Mental Health Support Specialist plays a crucial part in creating a safe and healthy work environment. As part of the team, you will be responsible for providing psychological support to employees, facilitating group sessions, and leading training programs focused on mental well-being and resilience.

We are seeking qualified professionals with a background in Clinical Counseling or Psychology. The ideal candidate will be a licensed mental health practitioner with experience in trauma-informed care and resilience-building, and someone who can build trust, engage diverse teams, and respond effectively in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support sessions to employees, focusing on stress-reduction techniques, coping strategies, and decision-making skills.
  • Facilitate monthly group sessions in a psychologically safe space to foster healthy working relationships and social connection.
  • Deliver training sessions on well-being and resiliency, as well as annual refresher training, to ensure employees have the necessary tools to manage their mental health.
  • Conduct daily floor walks to observe team interactions and employee demeanor for signs of distress, providing discreet and proactive intervention when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum master's degree in psychology or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience post-bachelor's degree in mental health, preferably in areas such as trauma counseling, resilience-building programs, or general mental health support.
  • A valid and active license from a recognized professional body is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building strong relationships with employees and management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools is necessary for effective communication and record-keeping.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is vital for staying current with industry trends and best practices.
