Solution Assessment Consultant Job Description

As a Solution Assessment Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality assessment services to our clients. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Manage end-to-end solution assessments, executing activities required to perform an assessment.
  • Act as a point of contact for customers during solution implementation.
  • Subject Matter Expert on first- and third-party discovery tools, educating customers on assessment tools.
  • Manage SA provision, including customer engagement relating to deployment and data coverage.
  • Responsible for trouble-shooting deployment for customers.
  • Perform Copilot Workshops and other assessment portfolios relevant to Microsoft AI Business Solutions.
Job Responsibilities

The following are the key responsibilities of the Solution Assessment Consultant:

  • Presales, Kickoff and Scoping: Understanding customers' business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Discovery: Determining the optimal platform to achieve stated objectives.
  • Analysis: Completing analysis of collected data, identifying key insights, and producing an executive summary assessment report.
  • Assessment Review with Microsoft Solution Specialists, Account Team and/or Microsoft Partners before customer presentation.
  • Presentation: Presenting key insights and actionable recommendations to relevant customer and Microsoft stakeholders.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Supporting seamless customer transition into post-assessment actions with relevant Microsoft or Partner teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • 3+ years of practical experience in solution sales, technical sales, or consulting in Microsoft solutions.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong comprehension of Cloud technologies, Microsoft 365, and Azure solutions and related solutions/tools subject matters.
  • Assessment discovery platforms – practical experience assisting customers deploy, troubleshoot, and leverage stated platforms (two or more).
  • Experience in performing CAF and governance model workshops to uncover customer Cloud migration reasons and goals.
  • Desirable: Experience working with Microsoft Solution Assessment team and a Microsoft and/or Partner role.
  • Desirable: Demonstrated ability to manage timely delivery of multiple, complex projects concurrently.
  • Desirable: Strong attention to detail, data analysis, and analytical skills.
  • Desirable: Self-direction and focus on quality, with ability to apply independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
