About the Role:

  • Develop and implement annual audit plans in accordance with accepted internal auditing standards
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance
  • Plan and manage audit reviews to assess controls, operational efficiencies, and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop and/or review audit programs to determine risks, weaknesses in processes, and existence/absence of controls
  • Validate and confirm reported key control points and weaknesses in the system or function being audited
  • Issue recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Analyze and appraise evidence and data to form an informed objective opinion
  • Review audit work and findings in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards (e.g., IIA)
  • Ensure working papers are adequately documented and audit evidence and data are sufficient
  • Gather information from knowledgeable internal/external sources about audit areas and functions to determine appropriate audit methodology
  • Resolve audit problems that may occur and revise/modify audit coverage and schedule as needed
  • Lead initial and exit audit conferences with auditees composed of department heads and/or managers
  • Review draft reports and provide inputs on the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the system or function under review
  • Present findings to management and/or immediate superiors
  • Monitor and follow-up on recommendations and auditee's action steps to ensure implementation of promised corrective actions
  • Create, review, and/or update internal audit policies and procedures to ensure clarity, comprehensiveness, and sufficiency of internal controls and compliance with IIA standards
  • Review manpower resources and develop reasonable budgets for auditors
  • Administer regular meetings with auditors to ensure timely feedback among team members
  • Participate in interviewing and selecting staff to fill audit vacancies
  • Train, orient, and evaluate staff and recommend developmental programs to improve department services
  • Approve itineraries and expense reports and approve RGAS notifications (e.g., leaves, overtime, undertime, etc.) and/or work hours

Requirements:

• Estimated Salary: PHP 1,200,000 - PHP 1,800,000 per year

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred

• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a leadership role

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
