Equity Index Data Specialist

The ICAD Team is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance of a wide range of S&P branded equity indices. The team performs operational functions, including daily processes and validations.

This role focuses on calculation and production of equity indices, solving non-routine problems in a timely manner, and ensuring accuracy of index values distributed to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate S&P DJI branded indices daily, ensuring timely delivery of real-time and end-of-day index data to clients and end users.
  • Run QA validations to ensure accuracy and integrity of index values distributed to clients.
  • Monitor real-time calculation and distribution of global indices, investigate system alerts and price movements, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with technology groups to automate and enhance system capabilities and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Mathematics, Economics, IT, or Finance.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a financial services or analytics role.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and company fundamentals.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities to solve original problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to understand complex spreadsheet models and calculation algorithms.
  • Experience with Excel and Access, familiarity with data-vendor tools beneficial.
