Remote Technical Lead Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to provide technical leadership and guide project teams in the delivery of high-quality construction documents.

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, design, and management skills. The ideal candidate will have a professional degree in Architecture and 10+ years of relevant architectural experience.

Responsibilities include marketing and sales, writing proposals, programming, designing, documenting, bidding, administration, and general support for team assignments, budgets, invoicing, and maintaining effective communication with clients and staff.

The successful candidate will have proven leadership in technical design and documentation, proficiency in Revit, and additional skills in SketchUp, Photoshop, and related software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market and sell architectural services to clients.
  • Assist in defining tasks, timelines, fees, and preparing project proposals.
  • Develop space needs and conduct zoning and code reviews.
  • Design and create 3D models, plan spaces, and coordinate with consultants.
  • Document and prepare contract documents, lead quality control, and supervise technical details.
  • Bid on projects and respond to contractor RFIs.
  • Communicate contract requirements, review submittals, and coordinate change orders.
  • Support team assignments, budgets, invoicing, and maintain effective communication with clients and staff.
Requirements:
  • Professional degree in Architecture.
  • Architectural Licensure (U.S. preferred; international considered with strong experience).
  • 10+ years of relevant architectural experience.
  • Proven leadership in technical design and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Revit; additional skills in SketchUp, Photoshop, and related software.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes (Chicago Building Code and IBC experience highly valued).
