Job Overview

The Lead DevOps/Cloud Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines forward. This highly specialized individual will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that support our growing platform.


This critical position requires deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS services, with a strong background in automation and infrastructure as code.


The ideal candidate will lead a talented team while building cloud solutions that align with our business objectives.


Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments to ensure seamless deployment and scalability.
  • Architect and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to streamline the provisioning process.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated deployments, minimizing downtime and increasing efficiency.
  • Deploy monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to provide real-time visibility into infrastructure and application performance.
  • Establish security best practices and compliance across cloud resources to safeguard against potential threats.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency to maximize ROI.
  • Design disaster recovery and high availability solutions for critical services to ensure business continuity.
  • Collaborate with full-stack engineers and data engineers to support application deployment needs and drive innovation.
  • Automate repetitive operational tasks and infrastructure management to reduce manual errors and increase productivity.
  • Implement and maintain secrets management and access control systems to ensure secure authentication and authorization.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers to foster growth and development within the team.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, deployment processes, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and transfer.
  • Lead incident response for production infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and optimize resolution times.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and implementation in cloud environments.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment and testing.
  • Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services (EKS, IAM, S3, RDS, EC2) and container technologies (Docker).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation and orchestration.
  • Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for real-time visibility.
  • Experience with security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
