Big Data and MySQL Engineering Leadership

We are seeking an accomplished Big Data and MySQL engineering leader to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will lead teams focused on designing, developing, and operating scalable data solutions for Kubernetes and cloud machines.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead a high-performing team building big data solutions
  • Hire, coach, mentor, provide feedback, and lead by example
  • Demonstrate sound engineering skills by contributing code when needed
  • Effectively manage expectations with other engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Advocate modern software development practices

Requirements:

  • A strong software engineering background, preferably with experience in Python and Golang
  • Experience running production systems at scale, preferably with Big Data or MySQL
  • Excellent judgment about people - their motivations, abilities, developmental needs, and prospects for success
  • Proven ability to build high-quality open-source software
  • Knowledgeable and passionate about software development
