Job Description:

The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives. This includes gathering requirements from stakeholders, defining data architectures, and implementing solutions using various tools and technologies.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results and meet business objectives. They will also collaborate with other engineers to design and implement data systems that meet scalability, performance, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into centralized data warehouses or lakes.
  • Implement data quality measures to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across different data systems.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to develop data visualizations and reports to support business decision-making.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and define data architectures that meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data systems, including data models, data flows, and technical specifications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with a focus on designing and developing large-scale data systems.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and experience with data engineering tools like Apache Beam, Spark, or Hadoop.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
