Job Description:

  • We're seeking a skilled Database Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments, as well as expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance.
About the Role

This role involves working at a fast-paced SaaS company with a modern AWS-native stack. As a Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for building internal tooling that helps product teams deliver faster and more accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable database solutions using AWS Aurora (PostgreSQL or MySQL-compatible)
  • Support multi-tenant environments by developing schema-per-customer models
  • Analyze performance and optimize SQL scripts across AWS RDS-hosted PostgreSQL and MariaDB environments
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to scope and fulfill data-related needs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB in AWS RDS environments
  • Expertise in writing complex SQL queries and analyzing performance
  • Familiarity with Java-based ORMs and their impact on schema design
  • Experience supporting multi-tenant environments, ideally using schema-per-customer models
