Relational Database Specialist

We are seeking an experienced relational database specialist to design and evolve data models and database architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL, as well as experience with version control and modern development workflows.
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processes, collaborating closely with BI, backend, and product teams to shape how our applications work, and implementing automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database development.
The role requires 4+ years of experience in relational database development, preferably with PostgreSQL. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve relational data models and database architecture
- Write performant, maintainable PL/pgSQL code to power business logic and data flows
- Contribute to refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processes
- Collaborate closely with BI, backend, and product teams to shape how our applications work
- Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database development
- Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in relational database development (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL
- Experience with version control (Git) and modern dev workflows
- Good understanding of database performance and storage optimization
